Gardening Group
WELCOME TO THE GARDENING GROUP
The monthly Gardening Group meetings, usually held on the second Thursday of each month, are informal, friendly and fun. The content varies from illustrated presentations by recognised experts in the field of horticulture, and beyond, as well as lively discussions within the group.
Members are encouraged to participate by sharing their gardening experience with each other.
We welcome new faces.
Do come along, even if you have not been a member of the group in the past.

Note: Guests: (i.e. those who are not Beccles u3a members) are very welcome to come along, however we ask you to join Beccles u3a after attending two meetings.

SALVIA THE 'SAGE' OF THE GARDEN: Salvias with their vibrant colours and rich history have captivated gardeners worldwide, their diverse cultivars offer a fascinating journey through the world of gardening. There are over 900 species of salvias which include annuals, perennials and shrubs. RHS trained Luci Skinner, no stranger to our group, has a passion for these plants which is contagious, and this she brings to our September meeting along with some salvia plants for sale.

THURSDAY 10th OCTOBER
A TOUR OF FLINT VINEYARD, NEAR BUNGAY: T'is the season of mists and mellow fruitfilness, What better time to visit a vineyard than during the picking of their grapes, when you can witness the harvest and taste their wines. Established in 2016, Flint vineyard has become one of England's most exciting producers of wines. Their philosophy balances old world traditions with modern analysis and pioneering techniques.
The tour and tasting costs £25 per person.
