The MOTO group is for all Beccles u3a members who don't live with a partner to get together, to make new friends and enjoy a variety of activities in company with others. We also warmly welcome anyone who lives with a partner with dementia.

Our monthly meeting at the Waveney Centre is a great opportunity to get to know each other and to suggest and discuss new events and activities not offered by any other u3a group.

Apart from the main MOTO monthly meeting, we meet informally each Tuesday and Friday afternoon from 2.30 in the King's Head Wetherspoons in the centre of Beccles, usually in the courtyard, weather permitting. Look for the MOTO sign on our table.

It isn't essential to attend any of our meetings or activities to be a member of MOTO. It is a large group, covering all u3a age ranges. We currently have 100 members.

Group activities are any type of one-off social event, proposed and arranged by MOTO members. They range from simply meeting a new friend for a coffee and a chat, to walks and lunch, or trips to gardens, cinema, community or sporting events.

Communication within the MOTO group is by monthly meeting, email and a dedicated WhatsApp group, open by invitation to MOTO group members only.

If you're not yet a member of MOTO and would like to join us please let us know via 'the bird', or just come to our next monthly meeting.
